Who are we?

Blewbury is a small village in South Oxfordshire, close to the town of Didcot and about 15 miles from Oxford.

The Blewbury Village Society (BVS) was founded some 30 years ago with the aims of organising social activities within the village and protecting the village environment.

The BVS has a formal constitution, a committee and annual elections. The current constitution can be viewed by clicking here.

Every year the BVS organises the following events:

  • Egg Rolling at the Chalk Pits (Easter Sunday)
  • Guy Fawkes Bonfire and Fireworks Display (Saturday closest to 5th November)
  • Santa's Sleigh Ride (Christmas Eve)
  • Boxing Day Walk (Boxing Day, except when this falls on a Sunday)
  • Roger Cambray Memorial Walk to the Bell at Aldworth (New Year's Day)

Other events are organised from time to time.

If you have an idea for an event and would like BVS support we have prepared a pack of information on how we can help. Click here to view this.
